The Group practices are typically 30 minutes in length,
exact start time of practice will be emailed once registration has closed.
All practices held at the Hastings Civic Arena.
***All team skaters required to register for the ice show-you will learn a new “ice show routine” plus skate your current team routine in the show as a bonus routine.

We have a short rehearsal period please attend every rehearsal our choreographers rely on your attendance to put together an excellent routine for the show. ***All team skaters required to register for the ice show.
In lieu of flowers you can purchase your skater a “good luck message” to put on our skater “good luck wish wall.” Skaters will receive these at the end of the show to display on their bulletin board at home or in their scrap book. Purchase the morning of the show or at the show.
The ice show photos are in I will place them on a table backstage on Friday during dress rehearsal for you to pick up at 5:45 pm.
All skaters that paid and registered to perform in the show will receive one copy of the full color ice show keepsake program.
Please pick those up on Friday at dress rehearsal as well backstage, your name will be on a sticky note on your ice show program.
We ordered a few extras to sell at the door during the show they are $12 if we run out we will order more.
Reminder we may call specific groups in to practice on Saturday morning for an extra practice
8:45-9:45 am. I will let you know after the first half of the show & after the second half which groups need to skate on Saturday morning for an extra practice.
See you at 6:00 pm on the ice to learn the finale & then we will run the entire show from the start to finish without stopping.

We need EVERYONE to take a photo with their ice show groups & soloists/duets. Our graphic designer that is creating our keepsake full color ice show program has the entire show program designed and has space for all the groups, and soloists/duets that will be performing in the show.
Skaters that tried on their costume on Saturday and needed a larger/smaller size ordered Amanda ordered those and will have those for you on Saturday at ice show practice. Please be sure to pick up your costume after ice show practice. If you cannot find your costume please ask Amanda.
Arrive 10-15 minutes before your photo shoot listed time
Photo shoot day policy-once your skater is in costume please send them up the stairs for their photo.
Parents will not be allowed in the photo area. The photographer wants the skaters to be able to focus their eyes on the photographer to get the best possible pose & keep their eyes on the lens of the camera for their photos.
Update on the photos
Cindy McGoon from McGoon Studios will have her colleague Rod Oman taking our photos on Mon. Jan. 29 at McGoon Studios in Hastings. The photos are going to be fabulous and the process has been streamlined.
Please be sure your skater has all their costumes, costume pieces, hair ,make up, skates, skate guards, and any small hand held props that they use in their solos & duets that they would like to hold for their solo/duet photos.
Team Good Morning America wear your green fringe costumes.
Team Barbie just wear costumes (no props needed)

A message from the photographer:
Hello skaters and families!
We are pleased to be photographing River Blades on January 29th, and can't wait to show off your amazing skills and costumes. For your convenience, Mac McGoon studio will still be in the same great location in Hastings. We are The Imagery, traveling down to Hastings from Burnsville! You can look up our work and learn more about our studio at: https://www.theimagery.net ... we will not be asking you to come to Burnsville, but you can come right to Mac McGoons in Hastings, and we'll be set up there, in the same great space, with the same great props.
NEW!!! You can pick out your own poses online! There will be no need to fill out any paper forms ahead of time. All you need to do on picture day is concentrate on your costume, hair/makeup, smiles and poses. Come ready to have fun! Approximately 3-4 days after picture day, you'll be alerted that your photos are up online to look at and order (we'll take multiple poses of each costume!). We still require a minimum of one package per dancer (see attached price sheet for examples), and we still offer add-ons you are familiar with and all the same add-on collages. Be sure to order as soon as the photos are up, because we offer discounts to qualifying orders, and free group delivery to Hastings, but only for a limited time. After about a week, prices may increase, and direct-to-home shipping fees will be added.
