About the Class
Take your skating to the next level through a fun combination of edge work, skating skills, flow, extension and choreography!
Susanna will help skaters develop stronger, cleaner edges and greater confidence moving across the ice while exploring creative choreography sequences. Skaters will work on creating beautiful extensions, improving flow and ice coverage, developing quality edge work, and learning how to bring more expression and creativity into their skating.
This class is designed to help skaters discover the artistic and creative side of figure skating while continuing to build the strong skating fundamentals that make choreography look effortless and beautiful.
About Susanna Butler
Susanna grew up skating in Eagan, Minnesota, and was a member of the Iceettes High School Figure Skating Team. Her love of skating continued after high school when she began performing professionally with Rosstyn Productions and at Busch Gardens in Florida.
A US Figure Skating Gold Medalist, Susanna successfully completed all of her US Figure Skating testing through the highest levels of edge and skating skills. She brings both her technical skating knowledge and professional show-skating experience to her teaching.
Susanna's coaching approach is positive, inspiring and uplifting. She wants her students to thrive, build confidence and experience the joy and thrill of the glide. Her goal is to help skaters develop excellent edge quality, beautiful extension and strong flow across the ice, while encouraging creativity and allowing each skater to discover their own style and expression.
We are excited to welcome Susanna to the River Blades Skating School coaching team and look forward to having her share her skating experience, knowledge and passion with our skaters!
