6:00-7:30 pm River Blades skaters perform to your favorite holiday tunes
7:30-9:00 pm Open skate & photos with *Santa *Santa will be on the ice to skate with everyone 7:30-8:30 pm
$2 suggested donation per person to benefit the Hastings food shelf
All skater Line Up back stage At #32 All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth Millie Nitti ***ALL SKATERS LINE UP BACKSTAGE QUIETLY FOR THE FINALEAll skaters will start taking the ice after Carly Sieben skates Santa Claus is coming to Town. Then we will start the Christmas Conga song all performers will skate in a long line on the ice, older skaters take a little skater out with you do a bow and then Santa will enter after Santa skates for the audience we will take a lap and invite the community to skate. The Muses will open the door to let the community in the rink, then help move the packages & the trees to center ice. We will take a group photo near the holiday tree with Santa after the show.

Skate with Santa 2025 Performer Information
Sat. 12/13 8:45-9:45 am Practice for teams-Encanto, Trashing the Camp & Muses
Sat. 12/13 10-11:30 am Learn to Skate classes (last day of classes 12/20)
Performers Details:
These classes will perform in the 6-7:15 pm show.
*LTS #1 age 5-7, LTS #2, LTS #3, LTS #4, Pre-Alpha, Alpha, Beta, Gamma, Delta, Jump and Spin, Encanto, Trashing the Camp & Muses
Mini-Mite & Hockey Edge & Power Skating classes do not perform.
Please see below for the costumes and what skaters need to provide from their closet for the performance on 12/13.
What time do I arrive for the show? 5:15pm Arrive at the Arena with hair and make up ready to go!!! Do not arrive any earlier since there is a hockey game that will be letting out and we cannot get in to the locker rooms until they are cleared out.
5:00-5:15 pm Soloists/Duet practice (see list below)

5:15 pm Check out your costume items that we are supplying at the table inside the Hastings Civic Arena McGree Rink there will be two skating moms checking the costumes out @ 5:30 pm & checking them back in @ 8:15 pm. Be sure to sign the check out and check in sheet. If costume is not checked in and returned a $100 fee will be due for unreturned costume.

5:50 pm Routines #1 through #5 should be lined up backstage by 5:50 pm
6:00 pm Everyone in the show #6-#38 should have their skates on by 6 pm
IMPORTANT-Parents please be sure your skater is lined up back stage 4 numbers before your routine is to perform. All skaters will return to the ice at the end of the show to skate in the finale, take a final bow, and greet Santa when he arrives. We will take a group photo with Santa and then invite the community to skate with Santa. For the final bows please line up backstage four routines before the “Christmas Conga”
Please wear a robe or jacket to cover up costume. No eating in costume.
We will have a skater area where parents can sit with their skaters until their routine is to perform. Be careful no walking down the stands in skates you could slip and fall. Wear your skate guards backstage and remember to put your name on them, take them off before you step on to the ice.
**Locker Room Policies for the SWS Show. For the privacy of our skaters everyone that has a quick change in the locker room will be required to wear a base leotard under their costume and we recommend a skin color spaghetti strap leotard. We have several skaters doing quick changes and for skaters privacy we are requiring a base layer that will remain on the entire show that you wear under your costume. The base layer should not be able to be seen. If you do not have a skin colored leotard there are some options on Amazon. Amazon Leotard options
If you choose not to wear a base layer leotard you will be required to change in the restrooms. There is a restroom in the lobby and one in the EAST McGree rink. Some groups don’t need to wear a base see your class list below for more info.
PRIVACY NOTICE-NO CELL PHONES IN CHANGING AREAS & ABSOLUTELY NO PHOTOS IN THE LOCKER ROOMS.
Everyone that performed in the show will line up backstage four routines before the Christmas Conga song. Christmas Conga is the final bows song. The skaters will take a final bow. Then Santa enters the ice for his lap, high 5’ing the kids and throwing out prizes to the audience.
After Santa high 5’s the kids they skaters will take a lap with Santa & then meet by the Holiday trees for a group photo. Then the fun begins……laps with Santa & Photos by the tree.

River Blades will be supplying. Also check the list for required tights, hair and make up you will wear in the show. Reminder any costumes supplied by River Blades will be handed out the night of the show a 5:15 pm and must be returned by 8:00 pm. All costumes must be signed back in by parent. If your costume is not returned to River Blades a replacement costume fee will be charged.

Skate with Santa 12/13 🎄⛸️ Team parents & Volunteers
Dear Volunteers & Team Parents,
Thank you so much for giving your time and energy to help make Skate with Santa a wonderful experience for our skaters and families! Your support behind the scenes is what makes the show run smoothly and keeps our skaters safe and happy.
Team Parents & Volunteers:
Please arrive and start setting up props backstage at 5:15 PM. The Zamboni will resurface at 5:30 PM. All props should be fully set up and organized backstage so they are out of the skaters path until needed. After the show, we will need all backdrops and props put away.
I will be emailing out a schedule for soloists/duets invited to warm up before the show, along with the skating order. Stay tuned!
7:45 PM: Skaters will meet by the holiday trees on the ice for their Secret Santa exchange.

Meet at 4:45 PM.
Wear a Santa hat and a festive red shirt.

Be backstage by 5:15 PM to help pre-set props with other team parents.
After Zamboni resurfacing at 5:30 PM, help preset the Christmas trees and Santa chair at the scoreboard-end rink doors.
Check that rubber matting is in place and that there are no exposed concrete areas near the ice entrance.
Katie Graham
Holiday tree decorating on Saturday morning at 10:00 AM at the McGree Rink.
Meet again at 5:15 PM for any touch-ups on the trees before the show.

Arrive at 4:45 PM.
Hand out costumes at 5:15 PM.
Check costumes back in between 7:30–8:00 PM.

Bring a few Ziploc bags filled with ice (ask the Zamboni driver for ice).
Grab the first aid kit from the skate school closet and bring it backstage for any accidents.
Be on standby in case of emergencies.
Laura Nitti & Rachel Marthaler (Backstage Moms / Santa Coordinators)
Be available for emergencies and help line up kids backstage.
Cue Santa for his entrance:
Knock on the referee door 10 numbers before he goes on.
Remind him again 2 numbers before he needs to go out.
Walk Santa from his locker room to the ice when the Christmas Conga skaters take the ice (do not let the skaters see him).
Once the kids are lined up, when you hear bells jingling and a “HO HO HO,” that is Santa’s cue to take the ice.
Please also have extra safety pins on hand for any costume issues.

LOCKER ROOM POLICY!
NO CELL PHONES ALLOWED IN THE LOCKER ROOMS
Complete undressing in the locker room is NOT ALLOWED!
Skaters that need to completely undress will need to use the restroom to change costumes. The East rink has restrooms near the stairs you can change in. The only exception to changing costumes in the locker room is if you wear a skin colored spaghetti strap leotard under costumes while changing costumes and under all costumes.
TIME LINE
5:15 pm Check out & pick up your costume then put costume on in the restroom. See locker room policies above & on our website.
5:50 pm Everyone Skates On- Routines #1 through #5 should be lined up backstage by 5:50 pm (you can use locker rooms to put skates on but the door needs to remain open!)
6:00 pm SHOW STARTS! EVERYONE LINE UP 4 routines before your routine. EVERYONE return to back stage four numbers before the Christmas Conga. Final bow song is the Christmas Conga & then it’s Santa’s arrival. We will line up on the ice, take a final group bow, then cheer as Santa arrives, take a lap with Santa, take a photo by the holiday tree, then open skate with Santa & our Community.
8:00 pm Return your costumes to the front table
