Wells Fargo Winter Skate Grand Opening & Winter Carnival Kick off Celebration

Come down to St. Paul to enjoy the Figure Skaters exhibit their tremendous talent.
You can skate with your family as well.

Skaters are invited to experience the unique urban setting of downtown Saint Paul. Located in the heart of the city, Wells Fargo Winter Skate creates a fun, winter experience for visitors of all ages. The historic Landmark Center creates a beautiful backdrop for the outdoor rink, showcasing Saint Paul’s charming European architecture and old-world ambiance.

We invite you and your whole family to dust off your skates and head to downtown Saint Paul. The outdoor rink will be filled with noontime skaters, after school groups, youth hockey scrimmages and practices, broomball teams, corporate events, and family open skating.

Location: Landmark Plaza, adjacent to Rice Park in downtown St. Paul at the corner of West 5th and Market Streets

Dates: November 2010 through January 2011

Cost to use the rink: FREE

Skate Rental: Skate rental is $2 per person. Receive free skate rental for you and your family by showing your Wells Fargo check card or credit card. Figure skates and hockey skates are available in adult and children’s sizes.

On-Site Amenities: Warming house, hot chocolate, snacks, and community hearth area to receive instant notifications on rink schedule changes, weather closures, and special events.

What is Hallelujah! ?

Hallelujah! is a musical celebration of the birth of Jesus. Hosted by Mark David and Leah Williams, the first half will feature our talented North Heights music groups, dancing, and ice skating. It is a very fast paced, fun, joyful and worshipful celebration full of holiday music and a few surprises! The second half is the explanation of why we celebrate Christmas. The story will unfold before your eyes as flying angels announce the birth of Jesus. Filled with drama, dancing and stunning music, the beauty of the season will captivate and inspire you as we rejoice in the gift of Jesus.

19th Annual White Bear Lake Holiday Open Competition

The White Bear Sports Center will be holding its 19th annual competition sponsored by the Ice Skating Institute (ISI). This competition is open to all skaters who are current ISI members. Individual & team events are available for skaters of all ages and levels. Complete information will be available in early September. Registration deadline is Oct. 17, 2011.
